General Leasing Questions
Can additional furniture be brought into the apartment?
Can I pay my bill with a credit card? Is there an extra charge?
Yes! View your balance, submit electronic check, or pay with a Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover from any computer or smartphone. Visit OneonCentre.com and click the “Resident Login” button. There is a 3 – 5 percent convenience fee to make payments with credit card, or $1.50 fee for eCheck.
Do I have a meal plan?
Meal plans are not offered at One on Centre.
Do you allow pets?
One on Centre is a pet friendly community! Permitted animals must weigh no more than 50 lbs. and aggressive breeds are not permitted. No more than one animal is permitted in a bedroom and no more than two animals are permitted in an apartment.
How are roommates matched?
Roommates can be matched in a couple different ways – either you tell us who you want to live with, or if you don’t have roommates in mind, we are happy to do the matching for you! We look closely at the information both you and your potential roommates have provided in your application and on your roommate matching card and work to find people that have the same or similar preferences. Although we don’t guarantee a perfect match, you can rest assured that we do our best to find your perfect roommate.
How close to campus are you?
We are located about 5 minutes within driving distance of the University of Pittsburgh and Carnegie Mellon University.
How do our rates compare to on-campus housing rates?
When comparing our rates to on-campus rates you must take into consideration many variables, including floor plan layout, square footage, furniture, utilities and community events. Our leasing staff is available to discuss with you how our rates compare to other housing options and validate that our community offers you the best value for your money, as well as a great location and incredible amenities.
How many people live there?
Every year the total number varies just slightly, but we have room for 723 residents.
If I am over 21 do I need a guarantor?
Yes. All leases are required to have a guarantor. If an approved guarantor cannot be obtained, Greystar will accept a security deposit equal to one(1) installment.
If I pay in full, do I get a discount?
One on Centre does not offer discounts for rent paid in full. However, prepayment gives you the peace of mind knowing that your account is in good standing at all times!
Is parking available?
We have a limited amount of reserved parking spaces available for lease on a first come, first serve basis for an additional $115 per month.
What do I need to hook up my computer to the internet?
You will need a CAT 5 (Ethernet) cable. We have internet outlets in each bedroom and common area. Your computer must be configured properly for the internet to work. Your computer or device must be registered as an active device with our internet service provider. We also have community-wide WiFi.
What if I need to cancel my lease?
Leases are legal contracts for the said term. Residents are responsible for the entire term of the lease. We offer lease re-assignments for a $200 fee. Please see a leasing professional for further details.
What is the cost?

What size are the beds?
All of our beds are full-size, extra-long memory foam beds, with the exception of our studio beds, which are full size memory-foam beds. We suggest you bring queen-sized sheets, which will work well instead of paying higher prices for “special” sized sheets.
What types of leases are available?
We offer 12 installment leases.
What utilities are included in my monthly installment?
Our rental package covers high-speed internet and trash. The resident is responsible for electric, water and sewer, as well as cable (optional).
When can I move in?
You may move in on or after the first day of your lease agreement. Please contact our leasing team if you have any questions about move in.
When do I put down a deposit?
If you do not have an approved guarantor, you must pay a deposit of one month installment on or before the date your lease contract is signed.
When is my first payment due?
Your first rental installment will be due on July 15th. Your next installment will not be due until September 1st and will be due on the first of the month each month going forward.
Will you send me a bill for each installment?
We do not send any invoices, but for your convenience, you can use our online resident portal to check your balance at any time. However, payment is due at the first of the month and is considered late after 10:00 AM on the 3rd.
Renewal Questions
Can I request different roommates?
We want you to be comfortable here, and we will do everything we can to accommodate your roommate requests.
What is a "renewal?"
Are you loving it here and can't imagine leaving at the end of your lease? By signing a renewal, you get to extend your stay at your community!
If I renew, will my guarantor have to sign again?
We like to make this process as easy as possible! Your guarantor will not have to apply again, but they will have to sign the 1 page, Parental Sponsor and Guaranty Form.
If I renew, do I have to move out then move back in?
When you renew and choose to stay in your current spot, no moving is required!
I'm graduating in December, can I still renew?

I just moved in, is it too early to renew?
Renewing now will provide the most benefit to you. By signing early, you will secure your space for next year and take advantage of the best pricing available.
How do I renew?
We know how busy you are, so we have made
the process as quick and easy as possible. Renewing is a easy as
"1,2,3!" Just following these steps:
1. Open your renewal email from us.
2. Review the terms, and click "Accept"
3. Follow the prompts to sign the new lease agreement.
